Staff are always friendly and results were to my doctor the next day. I’ve never had to wait and I don’t think I ever have made an appointment ahead of time. I like talking to a human when I come in instead of swiping my license in a machine and inputting all my personal information in their computer myself.

The staff deserves 5 stars!!! I have been to this location a couple times and both times I left thinking “wow they were so nice” & I enjoyed giving blood. I always feel a little nervous & they make you feel calm and relaxed.

Nathan has a calming voice and such a pro! I didn’t feel pain as he drew my blood. If you fear needles as I do then I highly recommend Nathan.

The phlebotomist was great. Nathan handled the line of patients in a professional, but friendly manner. This was probably the easiest blood draw ever. Nathan listened to my concerns, adjusted the type of needle, and the entire process was painless. Highly recommend this location if you need bloodwork done.

This is my first annual set of lab diagnostics I have done in the year I have been here in Santa Maria. I went to this lab location because its' paper was used by my doctor to print my lab request, and it was one listed by my insurance company as in-network, and it was open an hour earlier than the other ones I was considering...and I was hungry and had been fasting.

I arrived about 20 minutes after their 7 a.m. opening time. The office is very small, especially so for COVID-19 times. They had spaces marked on the floor to help you keep your 6' distance. As you open the door , the door itself takes up a space for you to wait, so the first available spot is on the right against the wall, then the #2 spot is right in front of the door, but about 6' ahead, then the #3 spot is at the counter, directly 6' ahead of the #2 and #3 spots. When I arrived, there was someone in the inner hall ahead of all of us and I was #4. The receptionist/technician was passing the time with chit chat as she was checking each person in. Patient #3 got to switch things up as the receptionist/technician switched languages and began speaking Spanish. They appeared to be having a great time for a few minutes and then the receptionist/technician took all 3 to the back to begin the procedures.

At this point I was left by myself moving from position #2 to position #1 just to check it out and see what it felt like. It was about 7:40 a.m. There was no one else in the very small waiting room and by that time I calculated at the rate they were seeing people I would be able to get checked in at about the same time I could arrive at Quest Diagnostics and see if I could have a more organized process and have more space available to wait. (I did, but I will cover that on their report later.)

I would like to leave this review without giving it a star rating, meaning leave it as "indeterminate", not "Zero Star Rating" as I simply did not get seen, or even greeted or my presence acknowledged in any way, so I have no idea how to rate what their overall service was, but since I know it would not have possibly better than 2.5 even if everything else ran great, and since giving it "0" stars is not fair to them since I did not give them a chance to "wow" me since I left, I am giving it 2 stars.

I had a much-improved experience at Quest Diagnostics (2345 S Broadway location), including more room, the ability to remain in your vehicle outside until called back, and they even took temperatures of each person here, which I did not see done while I was at Pacific Diagnostics, although she could very well have, once she took the other 3 back, but by then they were all bunched together, at least 3 patients and one accompanying child.

I will do a review of the better experience concerning Quest, but I can assure you there is a night and day difference in what I saw today.

If your big concern is how well they do the test, draw your blood, report it, etc., this place may still rate quite well in those regards, I simply don't know as I didn't let it get that far, but what I saw in the "up front" area was enough to make me seek an alternative source, even if I had to start over again in another line.
