Terrible company. Over and over again they make it impossible to get a refund for lost items. This time I shipped trading cards for Ebay's standard envelope for "trading cards" and now they are telling me trading cards are an excluded item from the program! Seriously! Can they be more pathetic! If it isn't resolved soon, I am contacting the better business bureau and eBay on their shady practices - grow up and do what you state you will or stop running your shady business!

Totally dissatisfied! A flat 1 ounce item I shipped with ebay standard envelope that in my view met all the requirements was lost and then rejected for insurance on the basis it did not qualify. Total nonsense and a complete run-around from Lisa Lash VP, Program Leader Parcel Insurance Plan who claims the package is not flat when in fact it was. The issue was with a chain which was positioned with the token separately, flat and in conformance with the thickness allowed.

The program is so bad that now PIP makes excuses to not pay the insurance on lost items. The claims are not that easy to make and obviously they have an agenda to reject as many as possible based on made up assumptions. I have packaged hundreds of these and know how to meet the specifications required and am not an amateur in these matters.

Addendum:
In the inadequate & untruthful response below, the PIP rep falsely calls the item shipped a keychain (which regardless shouldn't matter if the item meets the shipping requirements and meets ebay's categories eligible for Standard Envelope ). Her response is nonsense and I have have spoken to an ebay customer service rep who agrees with my position in this matter.

Great experience with PiP! Buyer claimed damage and sent me pictures and I gave them a refund - then when PiP called them, claimed no damage. When I sent PiP the pictures and related ebay info, claim was processed super fast! Thank you so much!

I had an issue with my email address and wasn’t able to send documents required to submit a claim. The agent was able to change my email address in their system and gave me fast instructions on how to proceed.

Martee Israel emailed me about my claim. He was uncommunicative and irresponsive. Like any "insurance plan" they will try and find any reason to deny your claim. I was not given any actual reason other than a copy and paste of the tracking information. Unprofessional and not helpful at all.
Edit per reply: As I explained, ebay shippedthe item from their shipment center. There was nothing "prohibited". And as it showed, they had sent it back to me, wherein it was lost in transit as per the updated return tracking number I provided that you conveniently ignored. My comments still stand and you have further showed your ignorance and justified the poor Google rating your company has earned.

Even zero stars aren't enough for this terrible company. AVOID THEM AT ALL COSTS. They are nothing but thieves hiding behind a professional. banner. I have never in my life encountered a more shady company than these people. Lisa Lash, the supposed person in charge is the most smug, entitled and down right rudest person I have ever spoken with. she has zero regard for people losing their hard earned money, and would rather lecture you on fine print technicalities than be a good person and address your case like any considerate human being would. you are better off with no insurance than with these monsters. they'll take your money and do nothing for you. So now I am out my item, hundreds of dollars and the premium I paid them for their bogus insurance. You should be absolutely ashamed of yourselves. AVOID AVOID AVOID AVOID!!!
