Dear Pie Insurance Contact or "Customer Support Team"

I am writing to express my frustration and disappointment with the lack of action regarding my request to cancel my policy with Pie Insurance, which I initiated in April 2024. Despite multiple attempts to resolve this matter, my account remains active, and I have not received the refund I am owed.

I demand that you review the email threads and communication history related to this cancellation request immediately. I provided all necessary information and followed your procedures to cancel my policy in April 2024. The lack of response or resolution from your team is unacceptable.

As of today, I insist that you:

Confirm the cancellation of my policy immediately.
Provide a detailed explanation for the delay in processing my cancellation.
Issue a refund for all charges incurred after April 2024.
Failure to address this matter promptly will leave me no choice but to escalate the issue further, including filing a formal complaint with regulatory authorities or seeking legal counsel.

Also, the [email protected] I've sent email to has zero responses for months! Does anyone even work there?

Awful experience. Was audited for my premium, which is standard practice in the industry, and told by an employee that she would get the necessary info from my accountant. Months later I received a nasty email saying my premium was going up. I asked why and was told I was deemed "non-compliant" on the audit. When I called the company, I would wait on hold for upwards of 20 minutes before being sent to voicemail. This happened 5 times. So to summarize, Pie will lie to you, jack up premium, then not speak with you. Look elsewhere for insurance.

Way way to expensive they were 3 times what my other quotes were after being with them for over 2 years they raised the minimum and stole over 800 dollars from me . Please go with someone else’s it’s a big insurance scam.

I have been tasked with comparing quotes for insurance for a small business. I contacted Pie and received a call in the AM from Daniel who was nice and helpful. When I asked him to send me the quote in writing so I could present it to management, he said he'd do it right away. I sent a reminder email that same afternoon and received no response. I then received a marketing email the following week about signing up and replied to it that I still had not received my quote and CCing Daniel. Daniel responded and sent me a quote with an incorrect code (I had not know the code when we were on the phone and he told me he could look it up). I emailed him, thanked him for the quote and requested he update the quote with the correct number (which I then provided to him). That was a few weeks ago. I sent another email to the general email requesting a new rep and a new quote and have heard nothing.
It shouldn't be this hard to become a customer, but I'm glad we avoided spending money with them. Will not be pursuing anything further with this company.

What a P.O.S. Company! Been with this company for 8 years, never spoke to a human, never missed a payment and never filed a claim. After them making $50,000.00 from our company, they canceled our Workers Comp. "We don't appeal to their appetite" was the exact words they used. Their appetite was strong getting that $50,000.00! If you use this company after reading these reviews, your going to get what you deserve.

STAY AWAY from this company!!! It’s a scam. They sign you up first and tell you you have to run payroll and they will deduct the premium every payroll, but they won’t tell you the cost code for your labor until a year later when they audit you and you will be shocked how much money you owe based on their theory!!!!

They keep calling you and emailing you at the beginning till you catch the bait and then once they audit you and send you an invoice for a payment they will Responding to your phone calls or emails and they will give you a hard time throughout the whole process!!

These guys are terrible. ADP payroll convinced us to go with PIE for our workers comp insurance and said all fees would be automatically taken out every week. They don't tell you that you will be audited and they will add tons of fees onto the policy calling them audit fees. The Audit fees were more than the actual workers compensation premiums we paid for the whole year. I would avoid these guys unless you like surprises.

I have been trying to reach someone at Pie Insurance for weeks. No one replies. I had a question pertaining to something they were supposed to do, in 2020, when I first signed up. Then I receive a cancellation notice, that we will not be renewed because of underwriting reasons, what does that mean? Meanwhile they answer my call and just tell me I will be contacted by the resolution department. My policy expires 9/5/2022, I have paid my premiums every month, going to be two years now, have not had any claims.
