Had a roof leak into our kitchen about 6 months after moving into a new home. Damaged the ceiling, walls, cabinets and floor. The mitigation company we engaged with suggested they could also do the reconstruction and work with insurance on the claim. This turned out to be misleading. After being fooled by the mitigation company, I contacted PLA to take on our claim. Within 2 days they were at our home taking pictures and understanding the extent of the damage. They made us all feel at ease and quickly worked with insurance to get us a claim that (after several back and forths) ended up being 17x the initial offer from the insurance company. I would highly recommend that everyone work with PLA if they are in the unfortunate situation of needing to file an insurance claim. They are friendly, knowledgeable, and willing to fight for their customers.

The company that I worked for operated an inpatient residential program for 32 children and adolescents. The facility had a devastating water loss which required that we vacate the building for an extended period of time.

It was a pleasure to work with PLA because they were able to guide me through the entire loss claim process of remediation to reconstruction. They assisted with handling insurance losses related to Building, Contents, Lost Income and Extra Expense. PLA also worked closely with the Contractor to make sure codes were met and that they stayed within budget.

My date of loss is April 15, 2015 and my claim is still ongoing. It is beyond frustrating to have spent lots of my own time to prepare two sets of documents for submission by October 31, 2015 and January 31, 2015 and my claim still has not been submitted more than eight months later! My adjuster has not finalized paperwork on his end and put my claim on the back burner. Each client should at least feel they are of utmost importance and their claims be closed in a timely fashion. I would say approaching the date where insurance will no longer reopen the claim or pay is not a timely fashion. Update: my claim will finally be closed after more than 2 years. It was a long process but in the end, I recommend working with an adjuster and not doing the work by yourself.
