About 2 years ago I was pulled over one night after I had fallen asleep at the wheel of my truck. I was ticketed for reckless driving and not having proof if insurance on my vehicle. At the time I was going through a rough patch in my life and money was an issue for me. My driver's license was suspended until I could prove and provide proof of insurance on my truck. Plus I needed an SR-22 Insurance plan. It's basically stating that you are a high risk driver. Nebraska Innovative Insurance was able to find me a insurance plan through Progressive Insurance. With an SR-22 Insurance plan the DMV of Nebraska requires you to carry the SR-22 Insurance plan for 3-5 years depending on the situation. In my case it's for 3 years. During this time you cannot have your insurance lapse it's coverage for any reason. If so you will be required to start over the 3 or 5 year period. I have had my coverage for 2 years straight without any interruptions. I want to thank the insurance agents at Nebraska Innovative Insurance for helping me out with the necessary insurance that has allowed me to be able to drive and get to work at the same time.
