One of the worst phone calls you hope you won’t get is “your house is on fire”. During Christmas dinner in 2022, I unfortunately got that call. That night as I sat in my car watching the firetrucks pack up their gear, I met Hawthorne Jr. who offered Atlas Adjustments services to represent me in dealings with the insurance companies. I refused their services because I was promised that my insurance would take care of the issues, but when that proved to be untrue I reached out to Hawthorne Jr. three months later. He honored the quote he gave me the night of the fire and continued to be honorable throughout this process. For the next year he worked diligently with me to get the money that was needed to rehab the building. He was relentless! This process was scary at times and yet, Hawthorne Jr. was alongside me the entire time helping to make the process a little less overwhelming. We woke up at 4a to a voicemail saying our house was on fire. We rushed to our new home and we were met with fire trucks and firefighters telling us that it was a 4 alarm fire and it would take another 6 hrs to bring it under control.
