I hate to say anything bad. I was not a fan of the different hair in my shower, the black spots in the corner and in the grout which to me look like mold. There was a hole in the ceiling panel. Not a big fan of that either. And purple and red cereal balls on the floor by the window near the bed. I stepped on one and kicked two others, so I question how thoroughly my room was clean. The area is beautiful, I saw a turkey on my morning walk, the refrigerator size is great. The microwave and the coffee machine too. Everything was fine except the bathroom and the vacuuming. This would not deter me from staying here again. I hope it was just a weird fluke.

Was a nice place to stay - we got a pet friendly TLF which was great for our dog. They had a large kennel in the room and bowls so we didn’t have to bring ours in. Also, the TLFs are right next to a little playground area which was great for the kids. The beds weren’t the most comfortable, but everything was clean and convenient.

Absolutely shocked by the service we were provided. My husband is a former cadet + current service member & thought it’d be nice to stay by the academy since I had never seen it. We booked a 2 night stay for the time we’d be in Colorado. By the time we arrived & checked in it was around 12:30 am (initially booked for 03/05/24 but arrived a few hours later than expected). We got the keys for our room, it was a pet friendly room by the child development center, & arrived around 1 am. Keep in mind, we just drove 12 hours with our cat. We wanted to settle in and rest. Unfortunately there was dog hair all over the furniture, rug, bedding, and the light in the bathroom had broken & was laying in the floor, the hole in the ceiling exposing a yellow mold. There was also a squeaking noise in the unit, similar to that of a mouse or rat, that our cat seemed to notice & react to as well. We were probably in the room for 30 minutes before we decided to call the front desk to let them know we were unsatisfied & would not be staying, so we cancelled that night & the next. We had to find another hotel at almost 2 am. The older gentleman at the desk was very apologetic & told us he would initiate a refund & let his supervisor know how bad the room was. We were under the impression that would be the end of it. The next morning (03/06/24) my husband called to confirm our refund. Eventually we got ahold of the supervisor, Melissa. My husband reiterated the details & the call was on speaker phone so I immediately noted that her tone was hostile & rude. She stated that she supposedly went to inspect the room herself after we left & would only refund us for 1 of the 2 nights booked, despite the fact that we weren’t even there for 1 hour. She argued that she didn’t notice any issues with the room, except that we had “utilized the bed, the bathroom, the kitchen, the trash can & left cat litter all over the ground” & apparently maintenance said “it looked like someone pulled the bathroom ceiling light out” insinuating that we ripped the light out of the ceiling ?
1) We pulled the comforter up to look at the bed before laying down and saw dog hair everywhere. Literally embedded into the sheets and pillow cases. She claimed she did not see any hair whatsoever, so her eye sight is either horrible or she has extremely low standards for cleanliness.
2) We used 2 towels for a quick shower (after placing the hazardous bathroom ceiling light on the kitchen counter) then to clean some of the dog hair off the ground. We didn’t use the soaps provided bc we brought our own & the ones provided were very obviously used anyway (covered in crusted soap on the outside of the bottles). But of course we were going to shower before bed after being in the car for 12 hours ?
3) The only thing we used in the kitchen was 1 small plate for our cat. She hadn’t eaten. For 12 hours.
4) Of course we put trash in the.. trash can.. Where else would we put it ?
5) We put our cats litter box inside the large pet crate provided in the room to contain any stray litter + laid a mat at the entrance. She very well could have tracked a bit into the crate but by no means was there cat litter “all over the floor”. We weren’t even there long enough for our cat to use the bathroom more than once.
She went on to complain that she now had to have cleaners come clean (which is hilarious bc that’s something she would’ve had to schedule anyway, but also bc they obviously didn’t bother to clean in the first place) & maintenance now had to fix the light & would “take a long time to fix it” which is not our problem in the slightest & is obviously something they were neglecting to maintain to begin with. Melissa went back and forth with my husband for quite some time, not wanting to take any accountability & entirely missing the point: We were initially paying for a nights stay, not less than an hour of utilization of an unkept hotel room. In regards to a refund, this shouldn’t even be an argument. This was a total headache, & I can’t believe this is how she chooses to treat a service member.

Nicely decorated rooms (if somewhat institutional feel). Kitchenette and half bath in the suites, plus living room, bedroom and full bath.
