I had a wonderful experience with Brooke Negrete at Robert Half.

I ran across a post from Robert Half on Indeed and went through their website at the end of Dec 2022. Since it was the end of year, organizations were not hiring, but Brooke reached out and set up an initial interview right away. I was unavailable the first half of Jan 2023, so I let Brooke know. Once I was available for interviews, I contacted Brooke, and she got me an interview in six days! It was for a temp assignment, but I was not selected by the interviewing company.

Brooke got me another interview for a temp to hire position a week later. I was selected and was offered a permanent position within a month. I have been in my position for nine months, and I adore the organization and the people I work with.

Nothing is perfect but make the best of what you have. Good luck to everyone!

Awful. Just awful. stay away. I worked with Robert half for YEARS and they lied to me about a temp to hire assignment position which I was at for 3 years. For 3 years they kept dangling this carrot I was never going to get. The communication in this branch is atrocious. Go to another recruiter company

I contacted Robert Half with the hope that I would receive a job for the summer. This was between being laid off from one company and starting law school. My initial phone conversation was great, the representative and I went over many topics, I explained my story, and we set an interview.

The interview was terrible. The representative didn't remember anything we spoke about until reminded or brought up in conversation on multiple occasions. It appeared to be that he was on a talk track, trying to get through a script as fast as possible. I had to try to actually get a word in after the first 1/4 of the interview. I left feeling underwhelmed.

I then called the Rancho Cordova office to further expand my search to get an offer faster. After calling and checking up on both offices and not receiving anything after nearly a week, I looked for a job myself. I got one in 3 hours. If I was able to get a job in 3 hours, how can a fortune 500 staffing company not able to find me a temp job in the entire metropolitan Sacramento area in 5 days?
I would understand if the job market was slow, but that is not the case currently.

I do NOT recommend Robert Half in the Sacramento area at all. Just put in half a day's work yourself and you'll find what you need.

I wish I could give them 0 stars. They don’t deserve any star whatsoever. Horrible service and very rude recruiters. They’re there to place candidates for positions but unfortunately they have no communication skills at all. I have previously used Robert Half Fremont office and the staff there were awesome but in this branch horrible people with zero skills. Don’t know waste your time and energy talking to them. Very unprofessional. Never return your calls or reply to emails.

Don't bother with these people. They don't actually care and all communication is transactional. This is extremely insulting when someone is seeking their leadership to gain meaningful employment.

I was brought on to work with a client who ultimately ended up lying about my performance after I completed their projects.

I was told that they don't judge a temp based on one job that didn't work out and that I would be placed with another job. They would keep an eye out and in the meantime I could use the Robert Half app to apply to jobs.

I could apply to literally every relevant temp job and crickets. Several of the jobs request for one to apply and call or message the recruiter on LinkedIn which I did and still crickets. You can call/text a recruiter several times, calls screened and sent to voice-mail. There was zero effort to return messages/ calls while seeing signs on public job boards that they were actively seeking candidates externally. No effort was made to put me in another job. Clearly, they don't care about the interests of the candidates that they already have. It was a huge betrayal of trust.

Since these series of events, I have found gainful employment elsewhere from people with better communication/ people skills.

Save yourself the trouble and go to Ultimate Staffing. Every single one of them is communicative and friendly. I temped there several years ago and periodically have my old recruiter reaching out to me to potentially fill positions.

This office reached out to me via an online resume. My consultant stayed in touch with me on a regular basis and was very supportive and helpful during the interview process. Within six weeks, I interviewed and was hired by a great company. I am very happy with my experience with Robert Half and this office. All staffing agencies are not the same.

I've been waiting for a reply back from a Robert Half associate, Jessica Flores, and yet, no reply. I've already taken the assessment test for A/P and A/R, but apparently, it's not good enough for them, even though I got a score of above average. Must be the background check? Who knows. It's been almost two weeks, which is much longer than a usual background check, so I don't really know what to say in this case, but it seems very odd that somebody hasn't contacted me back by now. Long story short, it doesn't seem very professional, and the funny thing is, staffing agencies in Alaska are more professional in my opinion, than Robert Half, here in Sacramento. Apparently, Sacramento is populated with a bunch of dirtbags and gypsies. 🙂
