It took us a month to get ahold of Matt Gardner after our premium went up $3,000 with no notice. Multiple calls texts and emails went unanswered, his voicemail had out of office dates from September (it is now January). When we got his assistant on the phone she couldn't even get a hold of him and get him to contact us. Avoid working with Sea to Sky Insurance at all costs, money is out of our pocket now and it could have been avoided so easily. No challenging market can excuse a full month without any response to us whatsoever.

Just moved out to CO & needed to change around my auto policy. I really was hesitant to do so. But after speaking with Matthew and learning more about insurance than I ever had. I felt completely comfortable moving forward with Matthew as my agent, & have full confidence that he had my best interest in mind during the whole process. I have been a customer since last November; premium went up this year, and I contacted customer service to find out why. I was told to contact my agent directly to discuss my questions. I have been attempting to reach this office for 10 days via emails and phone calls. I was finally responded to via email two days ago, and told I would receive a phone call that day. It has been 48 hours and I have not heard a word from this agent. It seems that once they get your money, you are no longer a concern to them.

Has anyone been able to get ahold of Matt Gardner? It has been a month and I cannot get ahold of him to cancel or review all my billing questions of random items taken out.

Worst insurance agent ever. I let him do my condo policy 2 years ago and he ended up costing me an extra $50 a month due to some weird app that needed to be activated that was on my end but wasn’t on his. Had he responded to my numerous emails and calls over 4 weeks, that wouldn’t have happened. I decided to give him another chance and get me a homeowners policy. He does a good job when it comes to finding you a policy, but after that you’re SOL. He told me a month ago he’d help me cancel my condo policy and never did. I had to speak with a manager at Travelers and am having to jump through hoops to get the policy cancelled and Matt’s name off my new policy. It’s so disappointing. It’s completely unacceptable to not communicate or respond for 3-4 weeks. He did that both times I tried to work with him after he’d already written my policy. Again, good at finding the best rates, but if you need anything after he writes your policy, you cannot rely on Matt.

Initially Matthew was good to work with. But, when rates increased and I asked him to look for better rates for my auto insurance it was very difficult to get ahold of him. Multiple calls, texts, and emails with little to no response. Eventually, it got really bad. He states to me he would look for new auto insurance quotes before my auto insurance lapsed. Lo and behold, nothing from Matt and now I don’t have auto insurance and am finding something on my own.

Not sure why the level of his service waned over the years but it’s very concerning to let your customers go without auto insurance when you are the broker and committed to finding better rates.

I hope this doesn’t happen to anyone else, I won’t be using Sea to Sky Insurance for my home and auto insurance needs moving forward.
