Dealt with Sedgwick Ireland via Revolut Claims. Emailed costs incurred for visiting a walk-in clinic with my daughter and obtaining a prescription whilst visiting the US. 1 week after our return, they emailed to say the claim was successful and requested my bank details. No complaints, easy to deal with.

I am appalled by the response from Sedgwick Insurance. I bought AIB travel insurance. I brought my laptop with me on a holiday last Feb. Somewhere on my return flights to Ireland I mislaid/lost my laptop. This could have occurred at Dublin airport or on earlier flights. My claim has been refused as Sedgwick say they only cover items lost in Ireland, Uk and the Isle of man. Thousands of travelers think they have cover for their laptops when abroad. They need to think again. Michael Hanrahan Refer to Sarah Sedgwick Claims Dublin / AIB TRAVEL xecir000511477.

I bought a policy through Expedia in conjunction with AIG for a trip in August. Unfortunately, mid flight, one of my parents suddenly passed away and I had to return home. I submitted a claim on August 16th. After calling AIG, they had no information about my claim. Several emails went unanswered. It was then passed over to a company called Sedgwich who, after 2 months are now asking for the same documents and receipts i initially provided. I feel like e this is a strategy to frustrate the claimant into finally giving up. I certainly won't and will keep fighting and calling and emailing. Death of parent or spouse is covered in my policy so why is it so complicated. All i want is reimbursement for the flights and taxi. If it keeps going I will fight and make a formal complaint against AIG and Sedgwich. What is the point of travel insurance....

Please do not use this company.
We had travel insurance for flights that were cancelled. They owe us €1450.00.
I rang them and had a recorded conversation with a staff member who told me I would 100% get my money returned to me.
After months of chasing them they told me that Thai Airways had become insolvent and if an airline goes into bankruptcy you are not covered.
Thai Airways are still flying high. I sent numerous emails requesting this to be looked at and be refunded what was owed to me. Never even got a reply. There are lots of honest travel insurance companies out there. Do not use Sedgwick.

Worst company. If they are coming to review your claim , you can be rest assured you wont get the claim. They have no intention to give you the claim. Specially Devin Simoncic and Zara Fennell work there are useless. They delay everything and take months and They do not care about you or any of your interest. Heartless People.

ScenicUSA insures some cruise-related issues through Sedgwick. Due to an issue on our cruise, Scenic instructed us to file a claim. The claim was immediately approved by Sedgwick in August and we still have not received our money (mid-November) despite multiple contacts with the company. They always apologize for the delay and claim someone is working on it and nothing changes.

My flight is late 12 hours from Dubrovnik to Dublin, i buy new ticket because i can't wait 12h on airport, specially because health issues. I buy new ticket and claim from my travel insurance. And i receive this answer from this crooks:

Dear Mr Culjak,

Your claim has been assessed in line with the terms and conditions of your
policy wording.

Please note there is a 'Travel Delay' benefit of €15.00 for each full 12
hour period you are delayed per person insured, as stated in the terms and
conditions of your travel policy.

The travel insurance policy does not extend to cover the costs of
rearranging new flights on the return home.

Please be aware that as these expenses are not considered under your travel
insurance policy we would advise you submit a claim under the Flight
Compensation Regulation EC261/2004. All details can be found on

From the information provided we can see that you were only traveller
delayed on the return home. We can therefore only consider one benefit
amount.

Find listed below details of the claim settlement offer :

Section : Travel Delay Settlement
Benefit Amount €15.00

Settlement Offer €15.00

Under the Consumer Protection Code 2012 we are obliged to allow a minimum
of 10 working days consideration period for any offer made in respect of
your claim.

However you may waive this period within the 10 working days by accepting
the offer and requesting release of payment by contacting the undersigned
via email, fax or telephone.

Yours sincerely,

Complete WASTE OF MONEY buying a Travel Insurance policy via Aviva.ie with OSG. Unfortunately had to make a claim, they keep asking receipts that dont need (which I provided calling multiple vendors) and then they changing the claim category (Curtailment, Rearrangement etc), They agree to some receipt in one response, in other one they disregard that and come up with new rules. I have written more than 40-50 emails explanation, over 6 months, they want you to get so frustrated that you stop replying to them and they dont have to pay any claim.
