Experiencing a house fire is completely devastating and difficult on so many levels. The average person wouldn't know where to begin or even where to start. Seltzer and Goldstein made this horrible process as easy as possible. We had an early morning electrical fire and by the evening they had our 4 children and large dog set up in a hotel that was not far from work and school. Then they helped us find a temporary house until we could make decisions on what to do next. There is so many steps to the process of losing everything and getting it all back and Seltzer and Goldstein fought for us. I worked with Kyrie Craig for the past 2 years and she handled everything with our insurance company. Any question that I had, she answered fast almost right away! She helped walk me through claiming our items on the Depreciation list. She didn't make me feel like I was a bother. She made this process as easy as possible and we highly recommend using this company if you ever need a public adjuster.

If you ever find yourself in an insurance situation like a house fire, calling Seltser and Goldstein should be your first move. Signing with them was hands-down the best decision we made after our house caught fire.

Initially, we were pretty hesitant about going with a public adjuster. They showed up right after the firefighters, which felt a bit overwhelming. But when Bob came back later again, after we had some time to process everything, we decided to go with S&G. We liked how the payment terms, taking 10% of the insurance proceeds, really aligned our interests and we were confident they'd negotiate way better with the insurance than we ever could - so we thought there was nothing to lose.

Looking back, Seltser and Goldstein took care of everything. Right after the fire, they were on it – boarding up the place, bringing in dryers and dehumidifiers, you name it. They even had experts come out to catalog and value everything affected by the fire, ensuring nothing was missed in our claim. And when it came to the building claim negotiation, I'm pretty sure Josh secured us the maximum payout possible. The insurance took forever to settle, but Josh and Kyrie stuck by us, just as present and supportive as on day one. That level of dedication really left an impression on me.

In short, I couldn’t recommend Seltser and Goldstein more for anyone facing a tough insurance situation. They made a daunting process much more manageable, and I’m grateful for their support every step of the way.

I am extremely happy with the decision I made since they did not only help me get the most the insurance could offer but they were professional, well experienced and guided me through every step of this process. Shortly after moving into our brand new house we had a small water leak that caused a lot of damage and headaches. Fortunately my 1st call was to Jeff Maciorowski @ Seltser & Goldstein. Jeff was at my house within 15 minutes, he assessed the damage, took detailed notes and photos and immediately started the mitigation process to limit any further damage. I’ve had the pleasure with working with Seltser & Goldstein on 2 separate occasions.
The first incident was an issue that they weren’t able to get involved with but Jeff and Bob were more than willing to give me all the advice I needed to get me through that claim.
The more recent situation was a water loss that Jeff and Bob had handled for me from start to finish. I am not one take the time to write a review unless it’s because I’ve received exceptional service. My first exposure to Jeff (Maciorowski) was just four days after the 9/11 attacks and we had a house fire. To say that it was an overwhelming time for our family (for literally everyone we knew) would be an understatement. He immediately came in and took charge of the myriad of details & responsibilities with respect to a major insurance claim entailed when a family is displaced from their home — something I just know we couldn’t have navigated without challenge ourselves at the time, and certainly not with the same results. I recommended them to everyone I’ve encountered with similar needs over the years until I needed them again myself a few years ago & then again a few months ago (both water damage insurance claims). In terms of responsiveness, and impeccable client support — I’m fairly certain I’ve never placed a call to Jeff and not had him in my home helping me assess things (and feeling better about what I was facing) within just a few hours = tops. Consummate pro, weight off shoulders & saving grace every encounter.

Enter their likely best asset — boots on the ground counterpart, Robert (Bob) Brown & you’ve got the only team you’ll ever need to help see you through the stress & lead you towards the most favorable outcome possible handling the nuances of your insurance claim. My best analogy is that Bob is like a pitbull 100% in pursuit of your best interests. He’s been around the block and knows his stuff. He fights hard for every dollar that you are entitled to, and he escalates things within the framework of his field diligently on your behalf. I honestly didn’t know that I was entitled to a fraction of what he fought for on my behalf until it was revealed. With my last claim this resulted in approx a 70% return over what I expected if I had just dealt directly with my insurance company. I don’t exaggerate — I’m talking nearly 3x more for a claim most would consider substantial to begin with. Bob doesn’t need check ins or reminders to follow stuff up… I actually think he prefers if you stay out of his way and just let him do his thing:) and please trust me when I express that it is well worth it… he’s absolute GOLD if he’s on your side!

I’ve learned over the course of working with Seltser & Goldstein that there are just so many things the average educated homeowner doesn’t know (beyond the obvious) that they’re entitled to & would never ask for as part of their insurance claim. Hiring an experienced & knowledgeable PA team takes the guess work and the stress + the time involved in personal due diligence out of the equation. The result (at least in my experience) is that you end up far more satisfied than you would have been if dealing directly with your insurance adjuster.

I would recommend S&G (most especially Bob & Jeff) to literally anyone that cared for my opinion… you don’t need mine though… please check them out for yourselves if the need should arise. I promise you won’t regret it:)
