The entire office has been incredibly helpful and responsive whenever I have had a question or concern. They go above and beyond to make sure that I have the right coverage for my needs and always take the time to explain everything to me in a way that is easy to understand. I had previously been with Progressive for years but after sitting down with Cristal I realized all the advantages of having a local agent. She reviewed my old policy and educated me on what it did and did not cover. I didn’t have coverage if I was in an accident by an uninsured motorist or enough coverage to cover the cost of an accident with a luxury vehicle. I got a policy through Cristal that covered these gaps in my old insurance policy and added additional coverage to help with medical expenses. All this and my policy cost less than what I was paying previously! Cristal is always available to assist and answer questions. I wish I would’ve met her sooner.

I recently had a horrendous experience with Shelter Insurance and their agent, Cristal. After being involved in an accident with the driver she insured, WHERE I WAS PARKED AND THEIR DRIVER TOTALED MY CAR, I reached out to the agent for assistance with my claim. However, not only did she fail to assign an adjuster to my claim promptly, but she also ensured coverage for high-risk drivers, which speaks volumes about their priorities.

To add insult to injury, the customer service was abysmal. No one ever seemed to answer the phone, leaving affected drivers like myself in limbo, unable to even arrange a simple rental car. I have yet to hear from this adjuster named, Paloma, and it's been 4 days.

Overall, my experience with Shelter Insurance and their agent was utterly disappointing, and I would strongly advise against entrusting them with your insurance needs. They have demonstrated a blatant disregard for their duties and their customers' well-being. 1 star and that's being generous given I can't give 0 stars.
