I have been with Tom for over 12 years and I have never had a single complaint. My previous insurance agent was a family friend with Farmers Insurance, but a good friend recommended that I talk to Tom instead - I have never doubted my decision to switch companies and do business with Tom Harbert. We had been with Tom Harbert for close to 25 years. Paid on time throughout this process, and had very few claims over the years for minor car incidents (like hail damage). In December 2021, our rental property had wind damage and we lost a number of shingles. The shingles could not be matched to replace. OUR roofer had to provide the information to the Claim Adjuster since the inspector SF sent wasn't very knowledgeable. Very quickly SF informed us that they would only cover shingle replacement and payment would be minimal. I questioned this as I didn't want a patchwork quilt of shingles on the roof. Tom Harbert's staff told me to be patient as more $$ 'might' be coming. I waited for several weeks and then called the Claim Adjuster for an update. He told me that a total roof replacement was approved. But after this conversation, I received a check in the mail - for shingle replacement, not whole house replacement!! Calls to Tom Harbert's office and the Claim Adjusters took place. Finally, after a terse FAX to someone higher up the food chain at State Farm, payment was issued for the total roof replacement. Thanks entirely due to the Claims Adjuster who was the only one at State Farm who seemed to care. Tom Harbert's office knew VERY WELL that I was frustrated, confused and SO disappointed with how things were being handled. Tom Harbert never responded. Never once picked up the phone to talk with us. If there was a personal reason for this, his staff should have notified me. But I've never heard from his office as to whether our claim was resolved and of our satisfaction. NOTHING. So, my feeling is this: State Farm in general, and Tom in particular, have been a disappointment and we've moved all six policies to another insurance company. If this is "Like a Good Neighbor", I'd suggest moving to a new "Neighborhood".

They have helped up with all of our insurance needs and were very instrumental in navigating the teen driver season with our two children.
