I had one of the worst experience dealing with Suncoast Claims. Before signing the contract, they are very humble. After signing, they start showing the real picture and there "tone" changes as if they are doing favor on you. Even for adjuster to visit, it takes several weeks. Then they wait for almost 8 weeks saying they are working on this "rocket science" and just before the legally allowed time for them to submit is about to finish, they call and force you to work with there contractor which was not the case before signing the contract. They refused to provide any document without contractor and the contract which was digitally signed was cancelled just on a phone call saying adjuster can't provide estimate without contractor. I almost lost 10 weeks time due to the absolute unprofessional behavior. Sent multiple emails / calls but seems all in vain. My exp was worst but if you consider them then would recommend checking -
1. When will adjuster inspect the damage
2. When will adjuster submit estimates / documentation. And how can they showcase any progress on the work getting done in this duration?
3. Under what circumstances contract can get cancelled and how? Any penalty clause if contract gets cancelled by either party?
4. Will there be a mandate to have contractor assigned for adjuster to provide estimates?
If you have firm answers to above questions and acceptable to your requirement then only proceed, else after wasting months, these folks can leave you in a miserable situation.

We've owned two homes now in 16 years and had to make our very first insurance claim after the hail storms April 2016. Unfortunately, we were one of the many people who gave our full and very naive trust to our Insurance Agent. After the claim was approved and we received the check, we immediately thought this couldn't be right. Needless to say, after doing some research and looking into it, we were indeed being wronged and after many stories, it seems this is the usual way of business from an "insurance company" and people are told to just expect it. I read article after article on how to protect yourself, and the things you should look out for. Seriously? How can this be going on without the government stepping in to protect the people? Why is it illegal to scam people out of money, rather it's over the phone, on line, through paypal, identity theft and so on, but it be perfectly legal to do so through an insurance agency? It's ludicrous! This is a scam and we the people, are being told to just expect it, but look out for ourselves.

However, on the brighter side of the experience, I am so thankful I was referred to Steve and National Claims Negotiators. Not only did they get us what we were owed from all the damage, but along the way, we learned a valuable lesson. Thank you Steve, for fighting the fight for us and for being there for all of us who are being taken advantage of simply because we put our trust in these insurance companies and their agents.

If anyone finds themselves in a position they think they have not gotten what is a fair claim from their insurance company, I recommend this company 100%!
