WORST! I had to prucahse a policy though this company becase this who my local insurance company uses. I had canceled a builders risk policy 3 months into a 6 month policy. I was supposed to be getting a pro-rated refund check. But instead of them sending me the refund check to me directly since I was the one that PAID FOR IT WITH MY MONEY! They send the refund check to this insurance company instead who of course keep telling me that they have not received it yet after 3 weeks. So I want to thank TAPCO so much for making my life SUCK having to deal with everyday now. And it is looking like I will have to hire an attorney soon to deal with this so now I won't be getting any money back because it will all got to attorneys!

A 100% corrupt insurance company. Don't try to file a claim with them, they hire corrupt inspectors that will turn your claim down. It's a scam of a company, paying monthly premiums with them are a waist.

DO NOT BUY HOMEOWNER’S INSURANCE FROM TAPCO!!! THIS COMPANY IS A TOTAL FRAUD!!! We tried to purchase builder’s risk insurance from Tapco. Right after we paid for the policy, we received the policy documents and found out that it was not for “replacement cost” as we expected but rather for “actual cash value,” which includes depreciation. How is depreciation calculated for any part of a house? Long story short, we spent weeks trying to find out what would be covered by “actual cash value” and trying to cancel the policy, but several Tapco representatives were unable to help us in any way. We then disputed the Tapco charge with our credit card company. Literally the next day, Tapco sent us an e-mail message to us informing us that we needed to sign a document to complete the transaction. Needless to say, we did not sign the document, and consequently, our credit card company recovered the charge from Tapco, and Tapco sent us a letter saying that our insurance was canceled for non-payment. Whew! We thought that our terrible Tapco ordeal was over. But no!!! A month later, we just learned that Tapco went behind our backs and submitted the now-canceled insurance charge to our lender for payment, which the lender paid. Argh!!! So now we have to fight Tapco again to get back our money. If they do not refund the money promptly that the “stole” from us through our lender, I will be suing them in small claims court. DO NOT DEAL WITH THIS COMPANY!!! THEY ARE UNETHICAL AND DISHONEST.

They are canceling after a smoke fire that is all repaired and it was from me being sick..part of my disability. I'm 61..elderly..disabled and being mistreated cause of my claim with Lloyds of London..Tapco. I'm very hurt especially to receive notice day before Xmas...stressed caused blinding aura migraine attack.

The biggest frauds in the insurance business, stay away from these unethical thieves who will deceitfuly take all your money and cancel your policy. Then they will play ping ping with you as the call, it's the broker, no, it's the finance company.

I should of stayed away after reading all of the reviews from Tapco as a company. They held an inspection at my restaurant and they claimed I needed a smoke detector and needed to have my hood professionally cleaned. Well I already had a smoke detector installed and if the gentlemen's who conducted the inspection would of told me on site, that would have resolved that issue but he never mentioned that to me. Also my hood is one year old and in great shape. Of course there's oil residue and that is normal. We clean our hood once a week and I do not need to spend money to have a professional company clean a 4 ft hood. In conclusion, they obviously don't know what a smoke detector is and want business owners to spend money for no reason. They had the nerve to cancel my policy. That's hilarious as I was already looking for another carrier as they are a dime a dozen. Folks, stay away from these clowns.
