After 14 business days no response, no call back, and appointments made were never responded to. I had my taxes done with Jeff Barth in year 2020 and I received a letter 10 months later by the state of Pennsylvania stating "failure to file" and if I didn't I could be fined up to $25,000. I initially called Jeff 14 business days ago and he said to call him back five business days later of which I did. He did not pick up, I left a voicemail, he did not return the call. Four business days later, I decided to make a appointment for a call back and he did not reply. This continued for 14 business days and he basically ghosted me. I should have known better when I initially had my taxes done with him in 2020 and he said something along the lines of "if there are mistakes made in your taxes you can call us back and we can fix it for you." I replied, "why would they be mistakes made?" Jeff responded with some tax jargon that I did not understand. Well, "mistakes" were made by Jeff and this is what happened. After paying over $350 to file my taxes, there should be no mistakes. Now his mistake may cost me $25,000. Also had my girlfriend do her taxes with him and she's experiencing the same issues. "Tax smart aadvisors"also go by the name of "travel nurse tax pros". Why does this one business have two official different names? Initial red flag that I should have picked up. You can get your taxes done with this guy but know there will be mistakes made and he will not fix them as said in his website. I would advise anyone to put a serious second thought into getting your taxes done with Jeff Barth and his two different business names.
