My boyfriend was charged $1 for not having a return box taped (he didn’t noticed), and another $1 for not having cash and paying with debit card. That’s one way to not having us back for business

Update review: it wasn’t a large or extra large box, it was small/medium box. And it’s not about a two dollars we can’t pay. It was about the relationship with the store that wasn’t made for customers.

Staff was unprofessional, the guy kept blaming the customer cannot return a box that UPS shipped to me because it was poorly packed while that was the way it was packed and delivered to me. No advices were given of how to handle it but playing the blame game.

UPDATE:
So the owner replied to my review and I don’t see he got the point still so I need to update this one. I went to another store and explained everything over again, the staff was super friendly and guided me how to handle the box without incurring extra fees on my end since it wasn’t my fault then even help with some extra tapes. While I didn’t have the choice but to return the item that way because of the special shape and the item was broken, the owner of this store told me it’s my choice to return it so I had to be responsible for it without understanding for the customer, I highly doubt if he would choose to keep something arrived broken without getting a refund. He even told me because I accepted the package so I was responsible for it and I was like UPS dropped it off in front of my house, do I have the option to not accept it? On the other hand, he does have the option to be nice and keep high standard of good customer service but no, he decided to go with the blaming game instead of being understanding and helpful to guide me what to do to avoid being paid extra for something I didn’t choose to do, repeatedly saying “it’s not my job” while I didn’t force him to accept the package but rather looking for advices. So again, it’s not about the box acceptance policy, it’s abt your customer service that brought you this one star and you deserve it.

Oh wow the guy named Zhao or so was really friendly, polite and has a really good customer service skills. I could sense his positive energy, definitely the only positive experience I’ve had at any UPS store in OC. We need more people like him, not those ignorant and rude employees in other UPS stores.

The manager here is a total knob on a power trip, try elsewhere if you want decent customer service.
