I have had a policy with them for years. Now I haven't received my notice of premium due. I called they would send one out, still haven't received it a month later. I sent a note with my check for the payment so it wouldn't be cancelled and the check has yet to be cashed. When I call I am on hold for a half an hour at a time and no one ever answers the phone. I am on the verge of making a complaint to the attorney general. I don't know what happened to this company, but this is certainly no way to treat customers that have been with them for at least 3 decades! And no I did not give them five stars. At this point they don't even deserve one star! Isn't that interesting? They wouldn't let me post this with no stars!!!

Someone insured by your business rear-ended me in October. My car was repaired by Nov 17th but the shop has not received payment in over 4 weeks. Turns out this business has gone into bankruptcy and turned over to a government agency to handle things. I'm so angry that you insured someone, that hit me, and now I'm without my car for this long.

This place is the absolute worst of the worst! I've gotten nothing but frustrated for 4 1/2 months. They lost my policy, said it was worth ridiculously low face value, passed me from one to another customer service person...even gave me another number to call. When I called, it was a computer saying I had won a cruise to Bahamas! I called to complain with insurance licensing board, and still don't have my money! Now they say I have to present documents proving my name change of nearly fifty years ago. Natural mother and only step dad adopted me. A birth certificate won't work! They should be put out of business!
I've also recently had dealings with globe life. They were professional and fast. Save yourself the biggest headache you'll ever have- buy life insurance anywhere else!
Read the other reviews! Not one person is satisfied with this place!

I'm giving them one star because I have no choice. This is the worst insurance company I have to deal with. You will be on hold for hours. They tell you they going to call you back, they never do. I'm trying to do a claim and its been since March and they still haven't process the claim. Mind you, they have all the documents they requested me. Do no waste your time and money with them. Trust ME!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Father had insurance with them, then he passed and they knew this. I tried keeping up with payments but they stole my money AND closed my father's insurance. I'm disputing with my bank but I wasted $700 paying and they stole rhat and my father insurance policies. This is a scam company if you get insurance with them you or your children WILL REGRET IT LATER. YOU are better off throwing your money in the trash.

This is the worst life insurance company ever!! They should not be in business. I called their customer service and provided my mother and father's personal information because I did not have their policy numbers. They asked me for their name and address but could not locate neither one of their policies. They said that if it's a paid up policy then it could be filed "somewhere."because they did not have computers back in the 60's 70's and 80's. Well, I want to know what happened to the money that they paid on their policies for 20 years. I will file a LAWSUIT!!! DO NOT GET LIFE INSURANCE FROM UNITED INSURANCE COMPANY OF AMERICA!!! this company does not deserve a star!!

Just hung up with a extremely nasty women who called herself Jo, very short with me and every time I tried to tell her something she would interrupt me and would be wrong as to left shoes. My mom died in August, since my late teens my brother, daughter and myself have been told by my mother that we each had a 10,000 dollar paid up life insurance policy. I am the oldest of the three, my brother is a year and 18 days younger than me. This insurance company have found my brother and my daughter's policy but not mind. I have found a different policy number and now being told they don't use that number anymore. I'm 53years old have had 2 open heart surgeries and now on the heart transplant list, and worried about how I'm to be buried someday. Lord help me!

Never, ever received service that blatantly bad before. I was helping a friend sort out all of her insurance policies. She didn't have any physical paperwork so we had to call to get the information over the phone. When we called the st louis office a very angry woman answered the phone. We asked her to look up my friend's policy by name, social and birthdate but she was unable to find one. She said we would have to send in a request to research it. Next, we called the agent directly for the local office and he was upset because we called after 530 and he was trying to get home to eat. After much proding he finally gave the poor woman her policy number but refused to tell her anything about her policy except that it was past due. He said we need to call thr home office to get the info but they would probably tell us to call him back. What We then called back the same angry woman with the policy number and she once again said she could not give the actual customer information on her own policy. She said call the agent because she doesn't have any info. I called her out on that as she was clearly looking right at the policy. She very reluctantly told me the cash surrender value and when i asked where you could get forms she got extremely defensive and asked me why I would need to get any forms. Then, she essentially hung up on us. My mind is literally boggled! My question now is, do they ever pay out claims? I hate for my friend to give up her coverage but this doesnt seem to be a reputable or trustworthy company. She has been paying her premiums since 1992.
