My family was signed up last year for home and auto insurance using this insurance broker, Upside Insurance. The policies were set to renew this year and the experience with Upside Insurance was nothing short of a disappointment. Our homeowners insurance went up over 90%, yes you are reading that correct and with no claims! Our auto insurance was also going up almost 50% for each insured vehicle, again with no claims! Nathan with Upside Insurance sent an email telling us this and he justified it by saying that his insurance went up too so that was supposed to make us feel better?!? He didn't offer any guidance on next steps, passed us off to someone in his office for us to 'work with' and left us in the dust.

This other person that was supposed to help us get quotes from other broker options they had. This person consistently told us that they were so busy helping other customers with our same issue to justify their not returning emails or phone calls. Nathan who was our Account Rep that signed us up in the first place was no where to be found and ignored my reaching out to him. Not only did the person we were pushed off on not follow our emailed requests to make some changes to the policies that may have helped lessen the blow with the increases but they were very unresponsive and I had to chase them down by phone and email to get answers. I was completely caught off guard by this as this is not how we were treated when we signed up with this brokerage last year. Frankly, I was shocked by this experience.

I learned a lot from the handful of other insurance companies I reached out to for help. They gave suggestions on some changes in our coverages that were beneficial to our quotes moving forward on both policies. I even sent some of these suggestions to Upward to apply to our scenario when trying to get us some better rates and they just couldn't get it right as the quotes they sent us kept coming back without any of the requested changes we had asked them to put in place. They simply lacked attention to details and professionalism!

We were able to secure new insurance with a reputable company and were treated with professionalism and respect.

After our policies had expired with Upward, Nathan finally reached out to ask if we needed his assistance and to "check in", one full month after we were left in the dust to figure it out on our own with no help whatsoever from him, the person he passed us off to, etc... Then he wanted ME to send him email trails of what happened in our case with his company so they could use it for a training tool in the future to provide a better customer service experience, UNBELIEVABLE! The mere fact that I was honest with him about how I felt and all their missed steps on their end clearly wasn't enough and now I was supposed to do more work for them so they could get it right? Ummm, no I spent enough time chasing them around and then searching to get my family's insurances in place before our policies expired. I wasn't going to do THEIR JOBS FOR THEM and frankly, if they cared at all, they would have been more attentive and concerned about our experience while we were still paying customers!

I will never recommend this agency or their services to anyone.

I will bet that this review will somehow mysteriously be excluded from their GOOGLE reviews as they have all 4.9 - 5 stars showing, further confirming their lack of integrity to be honest about how their paying customers are treated and their posted reviews.
