If I could have one wish, it would be that whoever is reading this will never have the unfortunate fate of meeting Keith West. This human waste of space was solely responsible for us losing over $3000 because of his negligence and laziness. Multiple online searches show that he's not even a registered CPA. I hope you never cross paths with him and his business is shut down. I have complained to the BBB, as well as the California Board of Accountancy. He's had so many chances to repay us what he owes, but we have been woefully ignored. The next step is small claims court. Wish us luck.

Good Lord, HOW is this man still in business? Prior to meeting I read many negative reviews in various online forums, but based on the suggestion of a friend, met with Keith West anyways. During our meeting, I asked about the negative reviews that stated Keith & Co at Westtax were unprofessional and unresponsive. Keith dismissed this as attributing to a few disgruntled clients that had other problems, and blamed him. I stressed the one thing that was IMPERATIVE was communication, and he stated, with a smile, "No Problem!". Well....MAJOR problem. Once they had our documents getting a phone call, email, or ANYTHING back was nigh impossible. Zoom and phone appointments were forgotten and ignored by him. Follow ups were non-existent. Literally dozens upon dozens of phone calls and emails went unanswered. When I did get a secretary, she was polite and sympathetic. She acknowledged he was getting my messages, and she understood my frustration acknowledging that Mr. West essentially has a habit of ignoring clients. On the rare occasions I did speak to him, there was always an excuse : I was out with a bad back, My staff quit on me, I was out with some other health issue.... None of these preclude you from sending an acknowledgement email!!! And the battle to get our documents back, Don't get me started!!! Keith, time to retire, sir! You are a disgrace when it comes to providing communicative service!!!!

Totally disappeared after engaging them to do my mother in law's taxes after her passing. Wouldn't return phone calls. When we called all we kept being told is Keith is out and will be back in an hour. Never called back, never came back.

Joe, who also worked under this accounting firm also disappeared. Totally unresponsive to phone calls, texts or emails despite YEARS of doing taxes with him. Something seriously wrong here. Stay far away.

Don't go anywhere near this place!! They're completely incompetent. They didn't file my tax return and claimed they had. I only found out that they hadn't through checking with the IRS. They got me the maximum late penalty (5 months) and are taking no responsibility for it. They also take weeks to get respond to calls or emails. AVOID!!

UPDATE: Westtax's response is untrue. It was the Westtax email address I was emailing, the Westtax phone number I was calling and when I brought up the issues I was having, the owner of Westtax got involved to say they would definitely do nothing to address them.

I am stating this name based off past reviews, Diana is horrible! The secretary is unprofessional, unkind, condescending and not helpful. Was hoping that the reviews were false due to getting referral for this location. They are not responsive to emails or messages. Best to move on to someone else and save yourself headache.

Mr. West is friendly, and makes doing taxes actually stress-free and fun. I would highly recommend him.
