After my Dentist confirmed my insurance was in network, Premier Access refused to cover basic cleanings and xrays. The claims process was painful and I was ultimately told I was not covered.

Absolute worse. The name of the company is false. They’re in bed with Western Dental.which is thee absolute bottom of the barrel of scum for dental billing Contemplating lawsuit or possible class action regarding for access to care.as there are zero private practice providers on list wiling to contract with them . When you call off PA list they tell you they no longer contract with PA . I found one provider after a year of problems where customer care and complaints hours on phone and grievance went nowhere and I had the CFO on the phone! I had one teeth cleaning and was scheduled for second annual when without notice or contact they yanked their contract with my dentist and auto switched me to Western without my knowledge or permission. A dentist I have documented in multiple calls I refuse to see! Never have I ever chosen a dental insurance plan so bad ! I wish I had this review before I did! Never use them!

Probably top five worst call centers I've dealt with in 15 years of customer service help requests. I was given at least seven different contacts today to get one answer about a surgery my Dr's said wasn't financially covered at all. I dont think they even know who to talk to because I still haven't reached anyone in two hours of calling different people that they told me to call or transferred me to. It could take me another to cancel my policy now.

I have had some fairly bad dental insurances in the past, but Premier Access takes the cake. I go to my dentist every six months for a general check-up and cleaning; the industry standard. However, I've been getting bills in the mail because, surprise surprise, they'll cover cleanings and an exam every six months, but only cover radiographs every year. How do you expect a dentist to do their job appropriately in an exam without radiographs?! They can't visually see the roots or in between the teeth without x-rays. Honestly! I also had an urgent appointment in which I thought I chipped my tooth. It was NOT an emergency, as it felt like it was the cusp of one of my teeth and it was not painful. I got a very quick exam, an x-ray of just that tooth, and a super quick tiny filling to smooth out the edge of my tooth that took 10 minutes. I had to pay completely out of pocket for this exchange. Absolutely ridiculous. What are patients expected to pay out of pocket when it's a true, real emergency with a large amount of work to be done that is significantly more costly?!

The worth Dental insurance company I have ever had to deal with. the member's services are so disappointing, and they seem to have no idea about what they are doing. We have called more than four times and provided the authorization/referral from the dentist to the insurance so my son can see a specialist. Even the doctor's office had to submit the referral many times, but they told us we couldn't find it, which was lost.

Worst dental Premier Access carrier. Customer Service very poor thick accent. April 2022 my husband went to see dentist specialist for dental implant. He paid $437.00. Told him to submit claim to the dental carrier with all back up to their P.O. Box in sacrament ca. Several months has passed so I decided to send 2nd copy. Still no word.
Today sept 20th 2022, I decided it to call them to see why no response to the claim was submit twice. He’s on my dental plan and they need authorization from him so I could speak with them. For god sakes he’s on my plan I’m the primary . I asked to speak with a supervisor that maybe a long hold time. I don’t care I will hold til someone get on the phone. Was told the same thing. That they need my husband authorization ok for me to speak with them. Next open enrollment I will speak with my employer to get another carrier. Premier Access sucks

I never leave reviews but making an exception here! This is the worst insurance you can possibly have. If there was a zero star option to rate them I would choose it. They have denied all my claims. I had X-rays and a cleaning and they denied that because they only cover X-rays when no other procedures are done that day. What kind of dental insurance does that? They denied my root canal because they said they did not receive a referral but my dentist mailed one and then faxed it to them. I sent it again but it was denied again for another ridiculous reason. They have the wrong address on their claim forms and even gave us the wrong fax number. They are a sorry excuse for a business. Avoid this insurance.
