Attention insurance brokers. Beware if your contractor has to deal with this compliance company. They are the worst. They have more requirements that are not necessary. Their customer service sucks. You can never talk to someone to get things figured out. Everything is non-compliant with them. They forced my plumber to get an additional coverage on their GL insurance that my underwriters said was not necessary in CA. This additional coverage costed my client $4000 extra in premium. He was forced to pay it to be compliant. I always get non-compliant emails after I give them what they need.

Terrible. If ever I’ve seen a company which seeks to justify it’s existence by the sheer creation of unnecessary work, it is Paladin. Paladin is completely overboard and overbearing about the number of endorsement copies they need to see with each certificate of insurance. You may as well just send them the whole damn policy copy, since they don’t seem to understand the legal purpose of concise representations of coverage from the authorized agent on the universal certificate of insurance. Everything is “noncompliant” with them and they make life difficult for everyone who has the misfortune of crossing their path.

If you absolutely hate your customers, then go ahead and chose this company to harass them. They are worse than bill collectors with the amount of emails they send both us and our customers. We have now had customers say they don't want to work with use because of the absolute nightmare of emails from Paladin and how difficult they are to deal with. Also, the reps they give you have no idea what they are doing.
